Why Families Choose Us

Our Approach

No Pressure on Timing

Families may take as long as they need before deciding to engage. First meetings can be delayed. There is no obligation at any stage.

Written Stage Plans

Every administration matter starts with a written plan of stages. Families are updated at each milestone and always know where matters stand.

Plain Assessments

Where an estate is simple enough for the family to manage themselves through a public administrator, we say so — including at the initial consultation.

Multi-State Families

We coordinate between beneficiaries and institutions across different Malaysian states and handle correspondence where family members are abroad.

Document Storage

Signed wills are held with the office at no further charge, keeping the original safe and accessible to executors when needed.

Clear Fee Structure

Fees are stated at the outset. There are no charges not discussed in advance. The full account of estate costs is provided on completion.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

What should a family do in the first weeks after a death? show hide
There is no need to act at once. The most useful early steps are locating the will if one exists, gathering identity documents, noting which banks and land titles were in the deceased's name, and letting relevant institutions know. An initial consultation with us will produce a checklist specific to the estate.
How long does estate administration typically take in Malaysia? show hide
Ordinarily nine to eighteen months for a complete administration. Estates involving land title transfers or assets held abroad can take longer, as those processes are governed by the relevant land registry and foreign institutions rather than by the legal office alone.
Do I need a lawyer, or can the family manage the estate themselves? show hide
For simple estates with few assets and no land title, families can often go directly to the Amanah Raya public trustee or the relevant district land office. We will tell you plainly at the initial consultation whether professional representation is necessary for your situation.
What documents will we need to locate? show hide
Typically: the death certificate, the deceased's MyKad or passport, any will or nomination documents, recent bank statements, land title documents (geran tanah), insurance policy numbers and EPF member details. We provide a written checklist after the initial consultation.
Can the initial consultation be delayed if the family is not ready? show hide
Yes. There is no urgency to meet within a fixed period after a bereavement. The office is available when the family feels ready, and the first appointment carries no obligation to engage our services further.
How are fees calculated and when are they payable? show hide
Fees for each service are set out at the start of engagement. The initial consultation is RM 175. Will drafting begins from RM 430 and full estate administration from RM 645. All fees are discussed and agreed before work begins.
